Wow...I missed all the convo tonight.
It was actually going ok for me..I was dealing with Dre not being on and trying to enjoy the show until the Randy comment.

But before that I have to say I almost pee'd my pants when Phillip sang to Joshua that
He would go down on his knees for him!

Have to add...that was the worst, most awkward duet in history!

Well, my dad did say that Hollie did a lot better tonight than in weeks past.  I got the feeling Phillip must not have done too well, though, because while I was talking to my dad on the phone (he's blind, by the way) he just stopped mid-sentence and said, "Ugh. What is that?  Who is that singing? .... Your mom says it was the guy with the guitar..."

lol.  Lesley.  It was sooooooo awkward  it's not even funny.  The producers should be slapped in the face.  Seriously, there were so many sixties and British invasion songs to choose from.  So many.  I mean Credance Clear Water Revival for one.  And heck Johnny Cash.  I mean Folsum Prison would have been a fun duet that wouldn't have sounded totally weird.  Lotsa songs there.  And I'm also surprised that no one chose Beatles songs.  Was that not allowed? I don't know.  Just crazy wrong song choice.

Jessica and Hollie were the best tonight. I really want an all girl final 3. My guess is two boys will be there though.

Phillip Phillips is good looking, and he's kind of funny. But that's really the extent of him. I don't know how he beat Dre.

Jessica's just...god...could you have imagined a Jessica/Dre finale. It would have been the best finale, period. (Maybe Diana/Fantasia and Bo/Carrie could match if talent wise..maybe..) ..and I would have loved to have Elise as the third place finisher...sheesh..

that definitely would have been a hot finale.  I'm not gonna lie.  But I've gotta tell the truth here, folks.  I was barely paying attention to the show outside of the outrageous moments of it.  I did stop to listen to "you are so beautiful" and to p2s rendition of "time of the season" because i wanted to see how it compared to blake's.  I think a lot of other stuff I tuned out.  Madam Grumpy is here for the evening.  lol.

Heh, I mean...we could have had Dre singing Ms. Celie's Blues and "Turn your lights down low" And Jess singing "I'd rather go Blind" and maybe "If I were a Boy"

..and maybe skip the crappy single..that would be good...

Dang..the show missed out.

And then for top 3, Elise and her bad ass self singing some Bluesy rock songs..

I'm wanting a Jessica/Joshua final.
I would be ok with either of them winning but I'm leaning a little towards Jessica.
She really is an incredible singer.
 
My sister's a professional singer and she watches Idol but she doesn't go nuts over it like I do.
I'm always the one who brings it up and gets excited over a contestant.  Well when Jessica
sang The Prayer she actually called me right after.  She was like...did you hear that girl?..omg she's
amazing..who is that?, she's 16 wtf?? etc etc...

So for my sis I'm going to go with Jessica.  :)

that would be quite a showdown if it was between the two belters jessica and joshua I just hope its not between Guitar boy and Country girl because then I'll throw a hissy fit.

I, too, am all for a Joshua and Jessica finale.  I could see Skylar making it in the Top 3 if she doesn't somehow sneak her way into the finale.  She's not my personal fave, but I can see that she has a certain appeal.  A Josh and Jess finale would be absolutely nuts tho. 

I just now had a chance to watch last night's show.  Hollie was actually pretty nice.  Phillip on the other hand... those high notes he tried to hit in his second song had me literally covering my ears.  I'd be surprised if he stays.

Phillip is going to win.  He does a half hearted awful job and he still isn't in the bottom.  He has had a handful of these kind of performance and he still hasn't ever been in the bottom.  It's disheartening, but he's going to win.  (And I hope I'm proven wrong.  That'd be cool)

I hope you're proven wrong, too.  I was thinking for a while that Skylar might sneak her way into the finale, because she seems to appeal to so many people (or maybe it just seems that way cause I live near Nashville).  At this point, anything other than a Joshua - Jessica finale would be an utter disappointment.

I'm serious when I say if someone would have just told DeAndre to play his ukelele, sing a song people know and mostly in his chest voice...he'd still be there..He could have taken PP's votes and spot. (Because, he's just as cute..if not cuter.) It's a kick in the gut every week.

I totally agree that he should have played his `ukulele. I haven't watched or DVR-ed a show since DeAndre left. I'll watch the finale and go to the tour show, that's it.
