How'd you get your tour tickets already? I guess I totally missed the pre sale. Oh well. That's cool that you got twelve seats back. Sounds fun! The show tonight was interesting. Let's see, Phillip was okay on his first song and fantastic on the second one. Hollie's first song was great, but I always like her when she is vulnerable, so I liked her second song better. Joshua was great to watch. I love Josh Grobin. And Man's world was very nice as well. Liked Jessica's first song very much. She's great on those old songs. But did not love I'm Telling You. No emotionality at all. Wish she could have put the same emotionality in it as she did in "Dance with My Father." And of course the judges didn't call her on it. So I would rank them Joshua-Phillip-Hollie-Jessica. I put in the five votes I promised my friend every week for Joshua and some for Hollie because she's probably in trouble. and that's that.

Only good thing is I got my Idol tour tickets and we are 12 rows from the stage!

DeAndre definitely could have come up with some ukelele stuff for Can you feel the love tonight. It would have been a Jason Castro somewhere over the rainbow moment. And if he had followed that up with River of Dreams there would be no stopping him. oh well. wasn't meant to be.

I'm serious when I say if someone would have just told DeAndre to play his ukelele, sing a song people know and mostly in his chest voice...he'd still be there..He could have taken PP's votes and spot. (Because, he's just as cute..if not cuter.) It's a kick in the gut every week.
Definitely cuter. And I do enjoy when he plays ukulele. I wonder why he didn't do that.
I totally agree that he should have played his `ukulele. I haven't watched or DVR-ed a show since DeAndre left. I'll watch the finale and go to the tour show, that's it.

Phillip is going to win. He does a half hearted awful job and he still isn't in the bottom. He has had a handful of these kind of performance and he still hasn't ever been in the bottom. It's disheartening, but he's going to win. (And I hope I'm proven wrong. That'd be cool)
I hope you're proven wrong, too. I was thinking for a while that Skylar might sneak her way into the finale, because she seems to appeal to so many people (or maybe it just seems that way cause I live near Nashville). At this point, anything other than a Joshua - Jessica finale would be an utter disappointment.

I, too, am all for a Joshua and Jessica finale. I could see Skylar making it in the Top 3 if she doesn't somehow sneak her way into the finale. She's not my personal fave, but I can see that she has a certain appeal. A Josh and Jess finale would be absolutely nuts tho.
I just now had a chance to watch last night's show. Hollie was actually pretty nice. Phillip on the other hand... those high notes he tried to hit in his second song had me literally covering my ears. I'd be surprised if he stays.

I would be ok with either of them winning but I'm leaning a little towards Jessica.
She really is an incredible singer.
My sister's a professional singer and she watches Idol but she doesn't go nuts over it like I do.
I'm always the one who brings it up and gets excited over a contestant. Well when Jessica
sang The Prayer she actually called me right after. She was like...did you hear that girl?..omg she's
amazing..who is that?, she's 16 wtf?? etc etc...
So for my sis I'm going to go with Jessica. :)

Heh, I mean...we could have had Dre singing Ms. Celie's Blues and "Turn your lights down low" And Jess singing "I'd rather go Blind" and maybe "If I were a Boy"
..and maybe skip the crappy single..that would be good...
Dang..the show missed out.
And then for top 3, Elise and her bad ass self singing some Bluesy rock songs..

that definitely would have been a hot finale. I'm not gonna lie. But I've gotta tell the truth here, folks. I was barely paying attention to the show outside of the outrageous moments of it. I did stop to listen to "you are so beautiful" and to p2s rendition of "time of the season" because i wanted to see how it compared to blake's. I think a lot of other stuff I tuned out. Madam Grumpy is here for the evening. lol.

Jessica and Hollie were the best tonight. I really want an all girl final 3. My guess is two boys will be there though.
Phillip Phillips is good looking, and he's kind of funny. But that's really the extent of him. I don't know how he beat Dre.
Jessica's just...god...could you have imagined a Jessica/Dre finale. It would have been the best finale, period. (Maybe Diana/Fantasia and Bo/Carrie could match if talent wise..maybe..) ..and I would have loved to have Elise as the third place finisher...sheesh..

lol. Lesley. It was sooooooo awkward it's not even funny. The producers should be slapped in the face. Seriously, there were so many sixties and British invasion songs to choose from. So many. I mean Credance Clear Water Revival for one. And heck Johnny Cash. I mean Folsum Prison would have been a fun duet that wouldn't have sounded totally weird. Lotsa songs there. And I'm also surprised that no one chose Beatles songs. Was that not allowed? I don't know. Just crazy wrong song choice.

I have a really bad attitude about the whole show since Dre left, and haven't watched since. I'm afraid if I see Jimmy's ugly face again I may just smash in my new tv. I just wish the whole dam thing would just be over and it was finale night so we can see Dre again.
Personally, I've been expecting Hollie to go home for weeks now. Thought she should have been sent home even before Ericka. And the night Dre got voted off, I was so sure it was her time to go. I don't know how she's pulling this off. Then again, I haven't watched tonight's show yet, so.....
imho, Skylar and P2 were worse than Hollie tonight. Hoping it's one of those two... actually Only hoping it's P2 that goes home. The girls love affair with his cuteness has gone on long enough... Time to Go!!! This is a Singing Competition!!! >:(
Well, my dad did say that Hollie did a lot better tonight than in weeks past. I got the feeling Phillip must not have done too well, though, because while I was talking to my dad on the phone (he's blind, by the way) he just stopped mid-sentence and said, "Ugh. What is that? Who is that singing? .... Your mom says it was the guy with the guitar..."

It was actually going ok for me..I was dealing with Dre not being on and trying to enjoy the show until the Randy comment.
But before that I have to say I almost pee'd my pants when Phillip sang to Joshua that

Yeah, and its a bit irritating - considering DeAndre had a superior voice and face to Philip Philips (not to even mention the hair ;D)
Don't even get me started on how DeAndre is FAR superior to P2 in Looks And Vocals!!! >:(

Tori, I was totally about to say, it can't be the girls voting on cuteness because DeAndre trumps poor Phil in that department. lol. (As does Colton because as you may or may not know, I totally want Colton to be my first baby daddy. lol). Also, the girls when they sing together do sound like they are just fighting for dominance. It's awful. Also that Jessica, Joshua, Hollie trio was bad because of this. It's weird because when Jessica was in a trio with DeAndre and Candace, she sounded great and they all blended so well together. Amazing. Joshua, Hee Jun and DeAndre were a great trio. DeAndre and Hollie were a fantastic and fun duet. I seem to see a common element. hmmmmmm. Anyway, since that tweet, I'm having a total dre dream about Matty G and DeAndre doing a duet together. I think I would just faint. lol. And yea, sometimes Josh is just too overpraised, which isn't good for him because it means that he can't improve. I think I said everything I wanted to. lol.

As far as Joshua goes, I feel like there is more conspiracy a foot. They have got to know that if they completely over praise a contestant that there will be rebellion and the overpraised contestant will lose votes. I actually think they are trying to get Hollie or Skylar to win. Hoping for the Haley effect as far as voting is concerned. Hoping to rile people up about their over praise. I think their goal is to just get more people voting. I don't think they are at all sincere about their comments about Joshua. And I think people are playing right into their hands. And I, a fan of Phillip who has enjoyed quite a few of his performances, also thought he was the worst tonight. Also, thanks for giving me the right info on the Terrance Trent D'Arby thing.

I like Joshua, but they are ALWAYS over the top about their comments for him. They have praised some of his performances that I thought were mediocre. But that's the way the cookie crumbles.
I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I love Joshua, but there have been a couple performances where I thought he could have done better but the judges made it seem like the best thing since pre-peeled crawfish.

If P2 is not At Least in the bottom 3... there is No Justice on Idol!!! Sorry to any of his fans here, but He was easily the Worst tonight.
I LUV that Zombies song and he totally RUINED IT!! ACK!!! Trying to hit the higher notes... SO BAD!! I had to Laugh at Jimmy and the Judges commenting on how P2 doesn't usually sing the songs Melody. That's because He Can't!! He has a 4 note range!!! He's better being the lead singer of a band, not winning this show!

I thought I remembered Randy saying that to Dre as well, and that's cool and all, but I guess that makes me a little more upset about it. Like it didn't mean as much when he said it to Dre. I'll have to actually watch the episode and see it in context.

I missed the girls trio but the boys duet , YIKES , I would have preferred Joshua singing that song alone, Phil destroyed it it was awful , you didn't miss much the only two who did well in my book was joshua & jessica, I want Phil 2 go, I'm so tired of his style & voice. and my daughter was very upset with holly she said holly destroyed two of her fave songs, and holly is one of our faves but she missed a word in the first song, my daughter KNOWS that song, she was a big critic tonite, ha I think if my daughter was on there as a judge I think she'll make those contestants cry she was very harsh tonite on holly, BUT loved Joshua & Jessica, doesn't like Skylar or Phil.

yes tori , my daughter wasn't happy with holly tonight mainly because the two songs holly sang my daughter
[ Samantha] knows those songs and hates when ANYONE doesn't sing them correctly ,so its not really holly she doesn't like but how she sang the songs, I think holly did ok, holly is my 1st fave girl.

that is what bugs me about when they sing together - their voices dont mesh well and so It ends up sounding like they are fighting each other instead of singing together as a trio :-\ I too miss elise and phils duets....they reminded me a bit of Haley and Casey from last season, only neither one of them is as kooky as Casey was ;D

The duet was really bad. P2 wasn't good tonight at all.
I had the same reaction that all of you had to the comments made to Joshua tonight. In fact, I felt like the judges went way too over the top with their comments to Joshua.

I honestly think they threw them together at the last minute, like Josh and P2 said. The boys, actually just P2, were easily worse than the three girls.
Idol Insider tweeted that NappyTabs were going over choreography with Skylar right before their duet... further proof. Anything to fill a two hour show!! ::)

He totally did. I'm so mad. I posted about it on the american idol boards. Randy started losing credibility with me with Jason, and now he's lost it all. I posted on his Facebook page. ugh!

Haha! I've forgotten about it the past few weeks myself. I was just talking on the phone with my dad, and he happened to mention that Joshua and Phillip were singing "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." And that's when I realized what day and time it was. I'll probably download it later and watch it tomorrow or something.

You aren't missing a lot... had probably one of the WORST Duets in Idol History... Joshua and P2. Not sure who the Producers were trying to screw more with that pairing. It was ALL kinds of B A D!! :-\

I was shopping with my friend for a couple of hours after work and as I got on the bus on the way home, I was like "Oh yea, Idol's on tonight" So it's on DVR and I just started watching it. lol.
